HilfsBUS goes Humanitarian Transport

After we started the project HilfsBUS in March, shortly after the Russian invasion, the goal was to facilitate the way from Ukraine to Europe for as many people as possible. After the first successful journeys, however, the need became apparent elsewhere. People with special protection needs, BiPOC, Sinti and Roma and others have to struggle with a difficult border crossing. Likewise, many relief goods have to be transported to Ukraine. At this point we decided to start the cooperation project “Humanitarian Transport”, in which we are now evacuating people who need help crossing the border into the EU as well as transporting relief goods to Ukraine.

HilfsBUS goes Humanitarian Transport

Nachdem wir das Projekt HilfsBUS im März, kurz nach der russischen Invasion, starteten war das Ziel möglichst schnell vielen Menschen den Weg aus der Ukraine nach Europa zu erleichtern. Nachem wir die ersten erfolgreichen Fahrten verzeichne haben wurde aber Bedarf an anderer Stelle sichtbar. So haben Menschen mit besonderem Schutzbedarf, BiPOC, Sinti und Roma und andere mit einem erschwerten Grenzübertritt zu kämpfen. Ebenfalls müssen viele Hilfsgüter in die Ukraine transportiert werden. An dieser Stelle haben wir uns für das Kooperationsprojekt “Humanitarian Transport“ entschieden, in dessen Rahmen wir nun Menschen evakuieren, die Hilfe benötigen beim Übertritt in die EU sowie Hilfsgüter in die Ukraine transportieren.
